Gluing instructions for Mexican slabs

Mexican slabs and corners are produced on a base of concrete for application inside and out accommodations. Difference in dimensions and colors is the result of manual character of production and they add elevation of natural appearance. Installment of slabs “on eye” eliminates application of fugue, which decreases the cost and amount of time to finish the elevation. When applying the proper glue, it is possible to glue walls made from concrete, gas-concrete, hallow clay block, blocks type “Ytong” etc. We do not advice to glue on walls warmed with styrofoam or mineral wool. It belongs to check the slabs before lying them down. We prescribe one-time shopping of plate from one productive party to avoid differences in tints of slabs.

Executive Indicators

Slabs should be glued on clean, dried and equal leveled surface when applying proper glue for given basis (Glue “Elastic” or after conducting a test of reliability, elastic glues from famous firms). If necessary the glued surface can be given a layer of clearcole (water-soluble). Basis must be stable and transmit the load of the slab. Slabs should be selected from several cardboards for homogenous accommodation of the slab tints. Temperature of enclosing space while gluing and 48 hours after should be no less than 5 C and no greater than 25 C. It is not allowed to glue when there are strong winds, while it is raining and direct sunlight at surface.

Installment

Before gluing with the assistance of the leveler and patch we put 15 cm over floor in order to glue down the first row of slabs. Place glue punctually on previously cleaned slab and press evenly against the wall. Take off the excess of glue with the spatula. With the help of diamond shield cut appropriate sizes of slabs. After relating glue on the first bottom coat remove the patch and stick on the missing row of slabs. Apply corners for external and internal finish. Best effect is achieved when lying down slabs without fugue. After finishing preserve the work with “Alive color for rocks” which helps to maintain neatness from the firm STEGU®. The firm does not take responsibility for incorrect installment of the slabs on wall. Reclamations concerning size and colors are not taken into consideration after installment.
